Founded in 2013, ALDO is registered under the NGO Coordination Board of Kenya (Reg. No. OP.218/051/13-025/8855). Our mission is to empower ASAL communities through justice, equity, peace, and environmental sustainability.

MISSION: To inspire and empower arid and semi-arid land communities to transform their lives through justice, equity, and collective action — strengthening climate resilience, governance, and sustainability.
The broader ASAL population benefiting from improved livelihoods, peace, governance, health, and environmental sustainability — creating a “united, just, healthy, peaceful, democratic, and prosperous society.”
ALDO is a non-profit making Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) dedicated to fostering positive and sustainable integrated and transformative development within the ASALs Rural communities of Kenya.
